Esma Aïmeur is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Montreal. She is the Director of the Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity laboratory. She obtained her Ph.D. in computer science (Artificial Intelligence) from the University of Paris 6 (France). Her most recent research focuses on privacy preservation, cybersecurity awareness, online deception, fake news, ethics of artificial intelligence, social networks, and recommender systems. She published in these areas with over 250 journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers and was a member of more than 150 conference program committees.
